Part 5 – Tips & Trouble Shooting

If you’re a gamer who plays online multiplayer games at one point or another you probably wanted to communicate quickly with a teammate or fellow player. > Whether it’s fast paced FPS games like Overwatch, Call of Duty and Battlefield or MMOs like World of Warcraft and Guild Wars 2, or even MOBAS like League of Legends and DOTA2, communication via in game chat sometimes isn’t enough. This is where your mic comes in, but what if you don’t have a mic? What if the mic you have doesn’t work, or for some reason you cannot afford a mic or an expensive video game headset.

In this guide I am going to show you how to use your android cell phone as a mic (wired or wireless) for online gaming. This will work whether the game has built in voice communication or you are doing it through external software like TeamSpeak or Discord. Save your money, your cell phone is a free mic!

What You will Need

An android cell phone. (The App we will be using as far as I know isn’t available on IOS)

-A bluetooth capable PC, If you plan to use it as a wireless bluetooth mic.

-A USB cable you can use to connect your cell phone to your PC, if you plan to use it as a wired mic.

Once you have the android cell phone and the equipment to connect it to your PC, through at least one of the methods previously mentioned (wifi, USB or bluetooth), goto step 1. Both the app and computer software we will be using is developed by Wireless Orange.

Step One: Install The App

On your android cell phone open the Play Store and type WO Mic in the search bar. Download the FREE

Assassination Rogue: Ambush Vs. Mutilate (Which is The Best Opener?)

World of Warcraft Guide

Ambush vs Mutilate

Update (8/27/16): with the release of legion this information may or may not be valid anymore

Upon reaching level 10 and speccing to Assassination, Rogues gain the Mutilate ability. However, having just obtained Ambush at level 6, it may be confusing to Rogues who want to maximize damage, which ability to use as a stealth opener. Especially since both abilities do roughly the same damage and award the same amount of combo points.

With that said lets take a look at what each ability does according to Wowhead.com:

Then you’ve come to the right place, here are some of the best raw beast hide farming spots that I’ve found so far that will keep you stocked up. The great thing about these farming spots are the mobs re-spawn very fast (as in instantaneously, once the last one in the area is killed) and you don’t have to be moving around a lot. Fast, efficient and easy farming! 😎

Tip: If you are playing Ori and The Blind Forest on the PC with a keyboard and mouse like I use to, I recommend that you use a controller instead. Trust me, it makes a world of difference (you will die less 🙂 ). Platformers by nature are designed to be played with a controller, so if you don’t have a Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 or PS4 controller already, you should pick one up on Amazon via the links below:

Microsoft Xbox One Controller + Cable for Windows
Microsoft Xbox 360 Wired Controller for Windows & Xbox 360 Console

If you go with a PS3 or PS4 controller, keep in mind that you may have to buy an extra mini Usb cable if you decide to go with the DualShock 3, or an extra Micro Usb 2.0 cable if you go with the DualShock 4. You can probably find one lying around though, but Playstation 3/4 controllers bought on Amazon don’t come with any cables. They will also require that you install extra software to get them to work on the PC, you can view a step by step guide from DigitalTrends on how to do this by clicking here. If you decide to go with Sony you can pick up one of the controllers from Amazon via the links below:

DualShock 4 Wireless Controller for PlayStation 4 – Jet Black
PlayStation 3 Dualshock 3 Wireless Controller (Black)

Rage-QuitThe Ability Tree:

In Ori and The Blind Forest abilities (aka talents, skills or perks in other games) are used to increase Ori’s attack, defense and exploration capabilities.  They bolster Ori’s effectiveness and are what help make it possible for you to progress through the game. Without a proper investment in them you will find yourself dying a lot more than you should. So to atleast lessen the amount of rage quits (I had many while playing this game 😀 ), it would be best to get a complete understanding of the The Ability Tree. That way when you start dying alot (and you will in this game >:) ), you will atleast know how best to proceed with your next course of action, minimizing your deaths and using your Ability Points wisely.

Gaining Ability Points

In order to acquire any of these enhancements from the Ability Tree Ori first needs to obtain an ability point(s).   Ability points can be obtained by collecting Spirit Light after you kill an enemy, collecting Spirit Light Containers or by finding  an Ability Cell pickup.  Collecting an Ability Cell gives you one full ability point instantly, while the other methods help in adding up towards gaining an ability point.  Basically gaining
